FROM SEASON 3 EPISODE 9 “Revelations: Chapter One”
Oh come on! “Revelations: Chapter One” is such a tease! As usual, we got zero concrete answers about what's happening in this crazy town. The writers keep dangling the promise of revelations in front of us, but then they leave us hanging. For a penultimate season episode, episode 9 was seriously lacking in the "reveal" department. Instead, it just piled on more mysteries and confusion.
But hey, at least the characters are getting some much-needed attention! It was great to see Jim finally realizing he needs to support Tabitha in her quest for answers. And poor Boyd – his Parkinson's is getting worse, forcing him to pass the sheriff's badge to Kenny (potentially). Victor's losing hope, seeing an older "boy in white" who still won't give him any straight answers. Even Jade had some surprisingly insightful parenting advice for Henry.
Speaking of questionable decisions, why is Elgin still listening to that creepy Kimono woman? He's basically imprisoned Fatima based on a dream he had on the bus to Fromville – a dream he hasn't even bothered to tell anyone about! Sarah already learned the hard way that trusting those visions is a bad idea. Is Elgin just plain dumb?
Now, about that one and only "revelation" hint – is Tabitha the reincarnation of Miranda, Victor's mother? Her visions of Miranda when she hugs Victor are pretty convincing, and they do seem to have a lot in common. Maybe this explains Tabitha's childhood nightmare? Ugh, so many questions!
Maybe the actual revelations will come in the season finale, a.k.a. "Revelations: Chapter Two". It better, because my patience with this show is wearing thin. I'm starting to feel like I'm stuck in a loop, just like the residents of Fromville!
